Spot1 Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden About 2 hours
This garden was built on the former site of the Tokyo residence of the Naito family, rulers of the Takato Domain. It was built as a garden for the Imperial family, but became a national garden after the World War II. It is the most famous example of a modern Western-style garden from the Meiji era. There are about 10,000 trees in the garden, and about 70 varieties and about 900 cherry trees are a major attraction in spring.©Shinjuku Gyoen Management Office

Situated at a height of 202 meters, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building’s observation decks are free and open to the public. Both decks offer sweeping, spectacular views of Japan’s capital. There are about 5 Special Exhibitions per year at this museum. Also, is the only place in Asia where you can see Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers” and, in the front garden, you can find as well a replica of this “Sunflowers” made with ceramic tiles and touch it’s indented surface.

Spot5 Hanazono-jinja Shrine
Since before the Edo period, this has been known as the main shrine for Shinjuku’s guardian deities. It is famous for its Tori-no-ichi Festival in November.
