Okutama is the westerner area of Tokyo. Is about one hour and half from the Central Tokyo and offers rich and vast natural resources hard to believe in Tokyo. It is a very popular course for visitors who like outdoor entertainments, where you can enjoy the astounding scenery of Okutama´s Nature.

Spot1 Okutama Visitor Center About 10 minutes
Visitor Center is a kind of information center for enjoying/using the parks with showing nature(Landform, Geological features, and Flora/Fauna) and culture items clarity located in National Parks, Quasi-National Parks, and Prefectural Nature Parks.
Including above things, Okutama Visitor Center is also guiding you the trail situation and how to use the Parks. In addition, a walking with tour guide and natural activities as well. We await you to visit our center.Accessibility Information
For observation of 2nd. floor with wheelchair, you can enter from the slope to the 2nd. floor provided outside of the center. In usual, it is locked. So, you please call us once in advance. Due to COVID-19, the exhibition via Hands-on is limited.

About 700 meters Travel Tips There is a slope around Okutama Station. There is no sidewalk on the road to Hikawa International Trout fishing spot, so wheelchair users should be careful.

Spot2 Hikawa International Trout fishing spot About 1 hour
The facility is located about 10 minutes away by wheelchair from the train Station, so is a very convenient fishing spot also for train users. The parking lot has capacity for 60 vehicles.
Accessibility Information
You can use the elevator or the slope to descend near the river. There is no pavement in the riverside, so wheelchair users will need assistance from a caregiver.

The facility is a place that introduces the History and Culture of Okutama, the mechanism of the Dam and the great value of water and greenery, all in an easy to understand way.

Spot4 Okutama Lake About 1 hour
Lake Okutama is an artificial lake created by damming up the Tama River with the Ogouchi Dam. Is the largest reservoir exclusively for water supply in Japan. All year around you can enjoy the impressive landscapes and natural environment.
Accessibility Information
The pathway to the Ogouchi Damm is flat and paved, so you can go smoothly with a wheelchair.

Spot5 Okutama Lake Ikoi-no-michi
A 12 km trail that stretches from the Ogouchi Dam, where you can enjoy the nature around the Lake.(Closed from Dec. to Apr.)
Accessibility Information
The path until the memorial stone monument is paved. From the entrance of Ikoi no michi there is a path with gravel for about 2 km. From there, it changes to a mountain trail.
Restroom Information
There are no wheelchair-accessible restrooms on Ikoi-no-michi, so it is recommended that you leave near Okutama Water and Green Museum.

Spot7 Okutama Onsen Moegi-no-yu
A 100% natural hot spring waters were you can enjoy day use baths. There are indoor and outdoor baths, and also a communal foot bath, which offers nice views of the mountains, forest and Tamagawa River.
Accessibility Information
There are stairs at the facility entry, so it is difficult to access with wheelchair. Discounts for disabled people available. The bath is accessible if accompanied by a caregiver of the same sex (please, ask in advance).
