Located in a corner of the shopping district in Tama New Town, Western Tokyo, the coffee shop "Kuroko" offers drinks and sells beans of rich and fragrant tasteful coffee.

店主の尾籠さんは数年前に多摩市に引っ越してきました。鹿児島出身、自然が好きで、緑も多くて都会に出るにも便利な、都会と自然が融合している多摩ニュータウンという街の魅力に惹かれ、2022年、この地域に根付いていきたいという思いで、ずっと気になっていた場所に店舗をオープンしました。
店名の由来は、作り手は裏方に徹し、あくまでも珈琲・空間・お客がメインとなる箱にしたい想いから、舞台裏方の”黒子”から拝借したそうです。
Mr. Ogomori, the shop owner, moved to Tama City in 2022. He was born in Kagoshima and loves nature, and was attracted to the charm of Tama New Town, a city where nature and urban life are integrated, which is also convenient for going to the city and has a lot of greenery. He opened a shop in a place he had always been interested in, with the desire to take root in this region.
The origin of the store name is said to be borrowed from the "kuroko", or stagehands, in the background. He is committed to working behind the scenes, with the ultimate goal of creating a space where coffee, the atmosphere, and the customers are the main focus.
広告デザイナーからコーヒー業界に入ってきた店主の尾籠さん。ハンドドリップの日本大会で優勝経験もあり。
Mr. Ogomori entered the coffee industry from being an advertising designer. He has also won the Japanese hand-drip championship.

店内は風通しもよく広々とした空間で、居心地が良くてついつい長居をしてしまいそうです。珈琲の味はさることながら一杯一杯ハンドドリップで丁寧に抽出される様子は見ていて飽きません。また、珈琲だけでなく、オリジナルのスイーツも販売しています。
The store has a spacious interior with good ventilation, and the atmosphere is so cozy that you might find yourself lingering for a while. Not only is the taste of the coffee superior, but watching each cup being carefully brewed by hand-drip is endlessly fascinating. In addition to coffee, they also sell original sweets.

オープンして以来、口コミが広がり多摩市以外からもお店に来てくれる方も増えているそう。一番人気の珈琲はミルクにも合うコロンビア産の豆を使った金獅子。
Since its opening, word of mouth has spread and the number of people visiting the store even from areas outside Tama City is increasing. The most popular coffee is the "Kinjishi (Golden Lion)", which uses beans that go well with milk.
コーヒー豆を作っているコロンビアのインディアンの村に尾籠さんは1ヶ月程暮らしたことがあり、その村にあるコーヒー農園の豆を使っており、今も豆を栽培しているインディアンの人たちの生活の糧にもなっています。
The owner, Mr. Ogomori, has lived in a Native American village in Colombia that produces coffee beans for about a month, and uses beans from a farm in that village. The income from this supports the livelihoods of the Native Americans who are still cultivating the beans.
