  2. Zakoya Kiyoumaru

    The restaurant offers a wide variety of menu items from Oshima’s local cuisine, such as island set meals, from bekko to mixed fries. The inside is spacious with table seating, making it easy to move around. There are steps in front of the entrance, but wheelchair users can enter using a simple ramp.

  3. Hamanokachanmeshi

    Located right in front of Okata Port, this old-fashioned tourist restaurant is easy to enter, with no steps inside. Visitors can enjoy Oshima’s unique dishes such as Utsubo-don, Bekko-don, and Ashitaba Tempura.

  4. Nadai utano chaya

    This restaurant is located at the entrance to the summit of Mihara Outer Rim in Izu Oshima, on the way to the observatory from the parking lot, and serves local cuisine. The restaurant also sells souvenirs and a variety of local products. The location is also excellent, with a view of the ocean and Motomachi.

  5. Nabekichi

    Oshima's local dish, Bekko-don, is the best of the best. Located a minute walk from Motomachi Port, the restaurant is a landmark with its distinctive pink color. The entrance is on a slope and all doors are sliding, so wheelchair users can use the restaurant with ease.

    Guests can view Mt. Mihara’s inner rim and lava flows from the open-air baths and mountain-side guest rooms. Hot spring baths can be enjoyed not only in the large public baths, but also in the baths attached to guest rooms*. In addition, there are six Western-style guest rooms that are barrier-free (one of them is wheelchair accessible). The passageway to the guest room building is equipped with a step-restricting device for wheelchair users. Souvenirs can be purchased at the hotel.

  2. Hotel Shiraiwa

    Located in Motomachi, the center of Oshima, this hotel is convenient for sightseeing on the island. Healthy cuisine featuring the island’s bounty is also available. The large baths and open-air baths are slightly salty hot springs that erupted during the 1986 eruption of Mount Mihara. There are steps at the entrance and exit. There are two steps to the hall where meals are served. Souvenirs can be purchased at the hotel.

Inside the pension, the hallway is wide enough for an electric wheelchair to pass through, allowing you to move around with peace of mind.
